Area 5: Introductory Post

Welcome to Area 5 an art gallery brought to you by Pod 5.  We were located in the Inland Empire, but moved soon after development to New York City, after inspiration from Herb and Dorothy, you know the Vogals.  We set up shop with the help and support of all Pod 5 members.  Each pod member takes a role as curator for the gallery and exhibition.  Area 5 is an open gallery that wants to reach the masses.  We accomplish this by having in open door policy for artist, and mediums.  The purpose of our gallery and exhibitions is to provoke thought through emotion.  Area 5’s current exhibition is on display right now titled AFFECTUS.
AFFECTUS is Latin for “Affected by Emotion.”  The theme of our exhibition is Emotion.  We have chosen particular artists, and mediums that display a wide variety of primary emotion through their work.  This work is arranged in a manner to stimulate thought and incite emotion between subject and audience.  The artist showcased in Area 5’s exhibition AFFECTUS are *Joanna Mialkowska, *Rene Magritte, * August Rodin, *Brigit Wudenka McMullen, *Andy Jones, *Dan Hoogkamp-(Dantooine), *Barbara Kruger, *Vincent van Gogh, *Leonardo DaVinci, *Caravaggio.
